I’m a journalist based in Colorado, raised in the Green Mountains in Vermont.
I like to write reported narratives about unique human experiences that reveal something deeper about the forces shaping society. I’m particularly interested in the topics of culture, technology, sports and criminal justice. I’ve written about Olympians, dodgy influencers, wrongful convictions, wildfires, cybercrime and more.
You can find my work in The Washington Post, The Guardian, Slate, The New York Times, Vogue and Mountain Gazette, where I am a senior writer for the magazine.
My writing has been recognized with a Young Reporter Award from the International Sports Press Association and several other honors. I have a bachelor's degree in political science from Tufts University and a master's in journalism from NYU.
